Website information
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Expansive Digital handles information when you visit our website or contact us about our services.
When you contact us
If you email or text us, we receive your message and the email address or phone number you send it from. You may also share your name, company and details about the support you need. We use this information to respond, discuss whether we can help and keep a record of our correspondence.
When you visit our website
We use two analytics tools to understand how people find the site and which pages they visit.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics 4 runs when you visit the site, without asking you to opt in first. It sends information to Google about pages you view, how you arrived and the browser or device you use. It uses first-party cookies to recognise returning browsers and group activity into visits. Google also uses your IP address to estimate your location, then discards it before logging the analytics data.
You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings. Google also offers a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You can read more about how Google handles information in its Privacy Policy.
Umami Analytics
We self-host Umami, an open-source analytics tool. It measures page views, referring websites, browser and device types, and approximate location. Umami groups visits without setting cookies. It processes your IP address and browser information to do this, but does not store the raw IP address in its standard analytics records.
Hosting and service providers
Our website is hosted in the United States. Our hosting provider may keep technical logs containing IP addresses, requested pages and the time of each request. These logs help identify faults and investigate unusual activity.
Our hosting, email and telecommunications providers process information as part of running the website and delivering your messages. Google processes the analytics information described above. These providers may process or store information outside Australia.
Access, corrections and privacy concerns
If you would like to know what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or raise a privacy concern, email us at connect@expansive.com.au. Please tell us which enquiry or visit your request relates to. We may ask you to confirm your identity before sharing personal information.
